What do the EA/EA/RD in the picture represent respectively?
Application and admission methods for American universities
The five most common admission methods for undergraduate programs in the United States are ED, EA (REA), RD, and RA.

Early Decision (ED)
The ED program is binding, so when applying to schools, students can only choose one school for ED application.
Once students applying for ED are admitted to this school, they can only choose that school and need to reject offers from other schools.
It is further divided into ED 1 and ED 2. Students who have not been admitted to ED 1 can immediately apply for ED 2 from other schools.
Students who apply for ED can receive their admission results earlier, and ED 1's results will be received earlier than ED 2's.
Early Action (EA)
EA is not binding, and if students receive EA admission, they can choose not to attend this university.
Some schools in the EA application only offer single choice early admission Single Choice Early Action (SCEA) or restricted early admission Restrictive Early Action (REA) options.
REA will have more restrictions than EA. Students who have applied for REA cannot apply for ED and EA from other universities anymore, they can only apply for RD and RA. In other words, REA can be understood as unbound ED.
Regular Decision (RD)
Regular application is the most traditional and common method of applying for undergraduate programs in the United States, which is applicable to almost all universities and does not have binding force.
Usually, most students receive admission results after early April, which is later than ED and EA.

Rolling Admission (RA)
When rolling applications, students can submit their applications at any time during the school's enrollment cycle, without a clear deadline.
Once the school receives the application, it will be processed as soon as possible, and students usually receive the admission result within a few weeks.
Especially suitable for some large public universities, but it is recommended that students submit their applications as early as possible, as the school may stop accepting applications after the admission quota is filled.
Most schools have their EA applications due next Wednesday, and students still have one last week to cram for it! If you encounter any last minute questions during the application process, you can also scan the code to consult the assistant at any time~
